NC regulator proposes deeper carbon cuts than Duke Energy plans

The state's new Clean Energy Plan, just proposed by the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality, calls for the power sector in the state to cut carbon emissions to 60% to 70% of its 2005 totals by 2030 and hit zero emissions by 2050.
